COVID-19 Social Distancing

Dear Parents/Carers,

As safety measures and after discussion with departmental advisors,  we have made the following decisions and ask you to note the requests as advised below to ensure we are ALL doing what we can to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and other illnesses at this present time.

·        The Easter Hat Parade, Colour Run and Camp Quality Puppet Show, which generally attracts a large number of parents and community members to our school, will be cancelled.

·        We ask that you please keep visits to the school limited to absolute essential needs or at our request to attend.

·        All Assemblies and P & C meetings will also be postponed until further notice.

·        A station at the administration building door will have antibacterial hand gel for you to use before entering the school. One scoop per person please as this is a limited resource.

Students will wash their hands before leaving class and on entry to class. We have provided soap and/or hand sanitiser to each classroom. These are in short supply so we are explicitly teaching the efficient use of these products.

·        K-6 whole school assemblies will be postponed until further notice.

·        Students will eat in small groups rather than altogether.

·        The cross country will be completed as a whole school with teacher’s supervision.

·        If you have a cold or flu like symptoms please refrain from entering the school grounds.

·        If your child is feeling unwell and also shows flu like symptoms please keep them at home and call the school to inform us.

·        Any concerns or queries please call the National Coronavirus Health Information line on                          1800 020 080.

Maintaining good hygiene standards is an important way to reduce the risk of acquiring and spreading respiratory infections. Parents and caregivers are asked to promote good hygiene, including handwashing with soap, as handwashing is the single most effective way to reduce the spread of germs that cause respiratory disease.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Regards

Jason Tindall
